Our daughters and their partners (next door in The Byre Cottage) treated my husband, Stuart, to this break for his 70th birthday. Couldn’t have been a better gift!! Beautifully and tastefully arranged, these cottages are a wonderful retreat from the busyness of the West Midlands. We “chose” (?!) the warmest and sunniest weekend of the year enjoying the Tissington Trail (most with bikes, 2 of us walking) and the wonderful countryside. A place to which we would love to return. Thank you.

This was our first visit to the Peak District and we found Hayloft Cottage to be the perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. The cottage itself was comfortable and cosy and the view was the best we have had from any holiday cottage (and we have been to a few!) The dogs appreciated the freedom of the garden and the adjoining field and lovely walks as well. Thanks for a great stay.

We have had another lovely break in the Peak District and Hayloft Cottage. The weather was challenging this time with lots of rain but we enjoyed local indoor pursuits instead eg the antiques centre in Bakewell is full of interesting objects and a good cafe, almost as good as a museum! We hope to be back in October again. Thank you for a warm and comfortable cottage.

Another idyllic stay. We will try not to leave it as long next time!

Really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cottage. So warm and cosy and exactly what we hoped for! The rural location was exactly what we needed for a relaxing break. Enjoyed some long walks at Stanage Edge and Winnats Pass. Amazing scenery everywhere – will definitely return soon!
