Hayloft Cottage reviews

As two octogenarians on our fourth visit, (speaks for itself!) we are impressed by the absolute peace and quiet of the Hayloft giving a real sense of tranquility. Bakewell is an excellent compact town with facilities to suit all needs, tastes and pockets! We shall return for more tranquility ASAP

Our first stay here, it’s delightful, the accommodation, views, including the inquisitive cow who peered into the bathroom window has all made for an excellent stay. Excellent meals at the Church House Inn (Marian comment – Church Inn, Chelmorton?) Insight into what life should really be like. Thank you

Another lovely stay over the Easter holidays. Easter weekend amazingly hot + got burnt too, the next day thinking the roof was going to blow off! Always cosy + lit several fires. Meals at Church Inn (Cjelmorton), Royal Oak (Hirdlow), Saint Moritz in Buxton and the Woodyard in Bakewell. See you soon Vxx

Enjoyed a lovely few days away here – cottage is the perfect retreat from it all. Beautiful location, nearby to lots of places to visit, trails and walks. Lots to keep our boys occupied – would definitely recommend cycling along on the Monsal Trail!

Third visit and we will return. Lovely stay as usual.

Perfect relaxing stay with all facilities needed at hand. Super walks and places to visit. Magpie mine very interesting and atmospheric. Town of Ashford beautiful – Church stunning and tearoom the best we visited. Many thanks
