I moved to the Peak District and immediately fell in love. I fell in love with the wide open skies where you can see the weather approaching from the distance. I fell in love with the gentler pace of life and the feeling that everything will come good in the end. And I fell in love with the genuine warmth and friendliness of all those that I came across. And I became passionate about sharing all that.
With two derelict barns on the property, renovating them to holiday home accommodation was the obvious choice.
I had holidayed in self catering accommodation a fair amount and had developed a list of requirements that I believed all added up to the perfect holiday cottage;
– uncluttered by personal possessions i.e. it’s not about us
– easy to use heating systems
– understandable appliances
– the provision of enough daily essentials not to need to bring them yourself
Those two empty barns were the blank canvas for creating the perfect getaway destination.
Conversions complete, my small team and I have since welcomed many families and visitors and hope left them with some wonderful memories of the Peak District.
We love to see our guests visibly relax during their stay with us, their pets too!
