Thanks for a lovely weekend. It was great to escape the city and enjoy the tranquility of Derbyshire. We think we heard a curlew, definitely skylarks and enjoyed watching the bats dart around at night.

We’ve had a really happy, comfortable, enjoyable weeks break in Byre Cottage and surrounding area. The views and animals have been lovely, as was the short walk over the fields to Taddington. Indian curry at the Taj Mahal restaurant in Buxton is also to be recommended! We look forward to coming back again!

Back here for the umpteenth time and loving it! Weather excellent for walking, the start of the snow yesterday just added to the effect – not sure about today when we drive to Plymouth in it.
