Lovely cottage with everything one needs particularly the dishwasher and Internet! Enjoyed exploring the Peak District our first visit. Recommend the Bulls Head in Monyash and the Queens Arms in Taddington. Will miss the cows waking me up in the morning! The views of the tranquillity with perfect.

We had hoped to escape from the searing heat of the south east but there was little respite until a violent storm on the 22nd when baby Cambridge arrived. As usual we enjoyed a glorious time, not so quiet as anticipated – our Buxton grandchildren love the Hayloft and took time to spend a night with us. Lovely to eat at our favourite places, The Peacock in Rowsley and The Bull at Ashford. Caught up with old friends. We’ll be back.
