Hayloft Cottage reviews

We’ve had a lovely stay at Hayloft; wonderful cottage with amazing views. Had good, challenging walks in Cheedale (across the stepping stones) and Calver Edge. Visits to Ashford-in-the-Water and Monsal Head – very recommendable. Weather was dry mostly and sunny :-) Thank you for your hospitality

We had a fabulous five night break here over half term. We loved the cottage and would never tire of the scenic views out of the enormous door! Chatsworth House (well the Adventure Playpark/Farm and Gardens ticket) was a brilliant day out as was Crich Tramway Village. We also really enjoyed a walk on Longshaw estate and we managed half of the Eyam 3 mile walk with our four and seven-year-olds from the “Circular Walks in the Peak Park” book that we found in the cottage! Bull’s Head at Monyash has a fab playpark at the back so a nice one to visit. Great food at the Royal Oak, Eyam tea rooms and Ashford-in-the-Water tea room. We would love to come back here!! :-)

We’ve had a wonderful stay and been very comfortable here. The views are amazing. Recommend Grin Low for families. Great walk up to Solomons Temple. Food at Bulls Head and the Queen was very good. We had all facilities we needed and had a lovely weekend. Thanks!

Perfect relaxing stay with all facilities needed at hand. Super walks and places to visit. Magpie mine very interesting and atmospheric. Town of Ashford beautiful – Church stunning and tearoom the best we visited. Many thanks

Thank you so much for such a lovely place to stay! The beds were so comfortable and we really enjoyed the log burner! Having the washing machine was a godsend too after lots of muddy hikes. The cottage is so well fitted out, you’ve really thought of everything, even the carton of milk in the fridge on arrival so we could have a cuppa after a long journey. Gorgeous views, beautiful home from home cottage. We loved it!
